Equipment warranty

Tunstall warrants the performance of all equipment supplied by it for a period of 12 months from the date of purchase by the user subject, however, to exclusion in cases where the equipment ceases to perform as a result of the user’s negligence. 

The benefits given to you under our warranty are in addition to other rights and remedies you have under the Australian and New Zealand Consumer Law and others.

Policy

Tunstall warrants the performance of all equipment supplied by it for a period of 12 months from the date of purchase by the user subject, however, to exclusion in cases where the equipment ceases to perform as a result of the user’s negligence. Tunstall offers an extended warranty on certain products. 

Where a user wishes to make a warranty claim, the equipment should be returned to the supplier with proof of date of purchase. Tunstall’s liability in the case of defective equipment shall be limited (to the extent that the law allows) to repair or replacement (at Tunstall’s option) of such equipment.

Tunstall shall pay all reasonable costs incurred in returning equipment to the user under a warranty claim. The user shall pay the cost of returning the equipment to the supplier under a warranty claim.

Time limitations

Where a user returns defective equipment to a distributor, the 12 month warranty period will be subject to a limitation that the claim by the user is made within a period of not more than 15 months after date of despatch of the equipment from Tunstall to the distributor.
 

Service call outs

Where the warranty claim requires a service technician to visit the user’s premises, Tunstall shall accept liability up to a limit of $85 (excluding GST) for the cost of one visit by a service technician to the user’s premises.
 

How to make a warranty claim

  1. Contact Tunstall Customer Service and provide the item serial number and verification of sale/purchase date.
  2. Customer Service will confirm the product is within the warranty period and provide an incident number.
  3. Return the faulty equipment with a completed Fault and action report form to the Tunstall Service Centre.
  4. The Logistics team will assess the equipment and determine whether to repair or replace. In the instance the equipment fault it deemed out of warranty, the Logistics team will contact you to discuss further action.
  5. Logistics will despatch repaired or replacement equipment to the user.
