Technical Support Officer

Tauranga, New Zealand | Full-time

We are looking for a vibrant and enthusiastic individual for a full-time position with our Technical Services department, at our premises in Tauranga, New Zealand.

This role will provide IT service desk and desktop support to our busy team, with a focus on providing technical support to our connected health and connected care business.

 

The successful candidate will have:

  • Minimum 3 years IT Desktop support experience, including Windows desktop, antivirus software and MS Office 2013 and above.

  • The ability to travel to Australia for training and professional development.

  • Willingness to embrace new technologies, acquire new IT skills and the ability work independently.

  • Demonstrated understanding of the principles of exceptional customer service, including the ability to empathise with people in need and be responsive to client needs.

 

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Upgrading, maintaining and supporting the IT service, including local devices

  • Supporting the operations team with IT requests during business hours

  • Managing all local equipment replacements and repairs

  • Alarm programming to meet sales and support requirements

  • Stock management, reporting and logistics support

  • Providing 1st level technical triage support to Connected Health Clients

  • Undertake escalation procedures, coordinate communication and monitor major service issues through to resolution through the Service Desk and QMS Framework

It is essential that candidates have at least three years experience in an IT support / Service Desk role, with an advanced understanding of Windows Desktop and Microsoft Office.

To be successful, candidates must hold New Zealand citizenship or permanent residency, or the appropriate working visa. All Tunstall employees are required to complete a Police Check.
