Telstra 2G network closure
In 2014, Telstra advised the closure of their 2G mobile network will occur on December 1, 2016. As a result, a number of Tunstall monitored products will cease to operate around this time, including the 2G Caresse alarm, 2G Find-me watch and mytelemedicplus.
In preparation for the Telstra network closure, Tunstall has been working closely with our customers to transition their services to 3G compatible devices. Nevertheless, some clients may still be using an alarm service on the 2G network, which will fail when Telstra closes the network (12:00am EDT, 1 December, 2016).
